PAÍS – São Paulo recebe 600 litros a granel da vacina CoronaVac
Material será usado na produção de 1 milhão de doses do imunizante
Chegou nesta quinta- feira (3) à capital paulista uma remessa com 600 litros a granel da vacina Coronavac, desenvolvida pela farmacêutica chinesa Sinovac em parceria com o Instituto Butantan. Essa quantidade equivale a 1 milhão de doses da vacina. Somada com a primeira remessa de doses prontas, o estado totaliza 1,12 milhão de doses.
O acordo entre o governo do estado e a Sinovac prevê 46 milhões de doses para São Paulo, sendo 6 milhões já prontas para aplicação e 40 milhões em forma de matéria-prima para produção, envase e rotulagem em fábrica própria do Instituto Butantan.
Organização
A vacina a granel foi acondicionada em três embalagens de 200 litros cada, colocados em um equipamento refrigerado a temperaturas de 2 ºC a 8 ºC. A matéria-prima será envasada pelo Butantan em frascos multidoses, conforme a configuração utilizada nas campanhas de vacinação do Programa Nacional de Imunizações (PNI). O processo de envase desta primeira remessa de insumos deve levar de quatro a sete dias e envolverá, diretamente, cerca de 40 colaboradores do Butantan. A produção será ininterrupta.
A previsão é a de que outras remessas cheguem a São Paulo nas próximas semanas, mas a vacinação deve ocorrer após a comprovação da eficácia com a conclusão da terceira fase dos estudos clínicos e aprovação e registro pela Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (Anvisa). O resultado de eficácia deve ser anunciado na primeira quinzena de dezembro.
